Telegraph Station

We visited the Telegraph Station located about 4 miles outside of
Alice Springs, but it is actually the original Alice Springs. In the
beginning what is now called Alice Springs was called Stuart, but the
town decided they would rather be called Alice Springs. We think the
Telegraph Station is the site where Sr. Mary MacKillop started her
first orphanage/school.
