Camel Riding at Uluru

We took a camel ride at sunset today. Tom and I rode Lazy Daisy for an
hour trip. What a thrill! Lazy Daisy is the current racing champ.
Those happy for his win often take him to the bar for drinks. He was
up to about 50 beers when they decided maybe it was time for AA. We
think he may have been assigned to us because he needed a big workout.
Many camels had only one rider.
There are over 1 million camels running wild in the Australian
Outback. Companies capture them and the camels are well trained within
3-6 months. The camels in Australia are disease free and are often
sold to the Middle East as the camels there have a lot of disease. It
is a growing lucrative industry.
