Sydney Bridge

A view of the Sydney Bridge from the river.

Opera House

We took a dinner cruise to say Farewell to Sydney. The view of some
familiar items look a bit different from the river. This is the Sydney
Opera House.

Rubber Ducky

We walked to the Darling Harbor area to eat at Hard Rock Cafe. There
was a huge Rubber Ducky in the water that must have been 4 stories
high. Rubber Ducky you're the one. You make bath time so much fun. I'm
awfully fond of you.

Wombat

The best picture I could get for the wombat 'Mathilda' was this
picture of Mathilda inside a round hide-a-way. Sorry Tycen; I know you
really like wombats. Did you know that the wombat is the closest
relative to a koala?

Tom's Kangaroo

Tom is scratching this kangaroo's ears just like he scratches a dog's ears.

Kangaroo

Neil is enjoying his visit with a kangaroo.

Many Koalas

There were several koalas to enjoy at Koala Park.

Koala Park

We went to Koala Park today and got up close and personal with the
koalas. This koala was quite soft and sweet. Did you know that koalas
have cartilage instead of bones for their spine?

Opals in Sydney

I didn't think I'd do it, but I was a little too tempted by this cute
little black opal and the ring fit my finger just right.

Sydney Opera House at Night

What an astounding view of the Sydney Opera House in the evening.

Sydney Opera House

This is a picture of the largest theater in the Sydney Opera House; it
holds 2,500 people where plays and entertainers are featured. The next
largest theater holds 1,500 people and is used for opera 9 months of
the year.

The Opera House design was chosen in a competition in the 1950's. It
was expected to take 4 years and $7 million dollars. It was completed
16 years later for $102 million.

Our Tour Group

This is the group that travelled with Fuller Travel to Australia.
Everyone is having a great time.

Sydney Bridge and Opera House

This is a view of the Opera House in Sydney in front of the Sydney
Bridge. There are often people climbing the bridge but I don't think
anyone in our group decided to climb.

The Bridge in Sydney

We walked down George St and found a place to have dinner and
continued down through the older section of town and to the water. The
bridge was quite picturesque in the dark of the evening.
This part of town has a lot if action with many nightclubs. Young
women in particular are all dressed up to spend a night of fun.

Landing in Sydney

Landing in Sydney. What a site! Plenty of water and check out the
bridge at the top of the photo. We will be staying near the tall
buildings.
